House Blessings – It is our Holy Orthodox tradition to have our homes blessed during the Epiphany Season, when we recall that all the waters of the earth were blessed by Christ’s Baptism in the Jordan. Hallow your home with this special yearly blessing. Please schedule a time with Father Peter who will come to bless your home. Email him at Rector@stmichael.org

Words of Holy Men and Women
Let us, then, O brothers and sisters, bring these virtues as a gift to the One Who was born for the sake of our salvation – let us bring them in place of the gold, frankincense and myrrh which the Magi brought Him, as to One Who is King, God, and Man, come to die for us. This, from us, shall be the most-pleasing form of sacrifice to God and to the Infant Jesus Christ.”
+ St. John of Kronstadt, Sermon on the Nativity of Jesus Christ
Prayer of the Week
What shall we offer Thee, O Christ,
Who for our sakes hast appeared on the earth as a man?
Every creature which Thou hast made offers Thee thanks.
The angels offer Thee a song;
The heavens, their star;
The wise men, their gifts;
The shepherds, their wonder;
The earth, its cave;
The wilderness; the manger;
And we offer Thee a virgin mother.
