Christ is born!  Glorify Him!

Welcome to all our parishioners and visitors!

House Blessings
– It is our Holy Orthodox tradition to have our homes blessed during the Epiphany Season, when we recall that all the waters of the earth were blessed by Christ’s Baptism in the Jordan.  Hallow your home with this special yearly blessing. Please schedule a time with Father Peter who will come to bless your home. Email him at Rector@stmichael.org

Remembrance of the Reposed – Next Sunday, January 20th after Divine Liturgy

Memorials – St. Michael’s is in the process of beautifying the church.  We are in great need of a baptismal vessel for adults so they can be baptized according to the Orthodox Church(by immersion). We also need processional candlesticks and banners, as well as other sacred objects.
If you would like to purchase any of these, they can be in memory of your beloved deceased and memorialized in your church.  Please see Father Peter if you are interested.

Parish Council Meeting – Today, January 13th after Liturgy, during the Agape meal.

Annual Report to the Parish– There will be a Town Hall Meeting after Divine Liturgy on January 27 in the parish hall. All are asked to attend!

Words of Holy Men and Women

“Such are the souls of the saints: they love their enemies more than themselves, and in this age and in the age to come they put their neighbor first in all things, even though because of his ill-will he may be their enemy. They do not seek recompense from those whom they love, but because they have themselves received they rejoice in giving to others all that they have, so that they may conform to their Benefactor and imitate His compassion to the best of their ability; ‘for He is bountiful to the thankless and to sinners’ (cf. Luke 6:35).”

+ St. Peter of Damaskos

Prayer of the Week

Rejoice, dwelling place of the unapproachable God!
Rejoice, our constant wonder!
Rejoice, you make our sorrow wipe away our sins!
Rejoice, you make our grief heal our ills!
Rejoice, through your miraculous Icon, you bring us your heavenly mercy!
Rejoice, O joy of our grieving heart!
Rejoice, our wonderful reconciliation with God!
Rejoice, O Theotokos, the Inexhaustible Cup that quenches our spiritual thirst!
